Competition Terms and Conditions Introduction 1.This competition is being run by, or on behalf of, Halo Furnishings Limited ("Halo"). Please direct all correspondence in connection with the competition to Halo either via its website at www.haloliving.co.uk or via post to French Painted Bed Competition May 2008, Charles Madan Works, Atlantic Street, Altrincham, Cheshire WA14 5DA. Eligibility 2.The competition is only open to UK residents aged 18 years and over, excluding employees of Halo (or any company within the same group as Halo), their families, agencies or anyone professionally connected with the competition. Any entries made by agents or third parties on behalf of an entrant will be invalid. 3.By submitting an entry to this competition, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with any of these terms and conditions will result in the disqualification of the entry and Halo reserves the right to disqualify any entry, at any time, at its absolute discretion. Please retain a copy of these terms and conditions for your reference. To enter 4.The competition commences on 1st April 2008 and ends on 31st July 2008 and only entries received by Halo during this period will be included in the competition. Entry to the competition is free and no purchase of goods from Halo is necessary. 5.Participants may enter this competition via the website – www.haloliving.co.uk/mailinglist-menarena.aspx. Or by post. Entry is strictly limited to one entry per person. 6. Halo does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed, damaged or incomplete entries. Proof of emailing or posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery and Halo will not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed, damaged or incomplete entries. 7. Entrants agree to be bound by all the entry instructions for the competition, which form part of these terms and conditions. By entering into this competition via Halo's website, entrants also agree to comply with the respective website's terms and conditions of use. 8. Halo reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its reasonable opinion or if circumstances arise outside of its control. In such an event, Halo shall have no liability to any entrants. To win 9.All entries must be submitted by 5:00pm on 31st July 2008. All entries will be submitted into a prize draw which will be drawn by an independent person by no later than 30th August 2008. The winners will be notified by email or post within 28 days of the drawing date. The decision of Halo and the independent person will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding such decision. 10. The name of the winners and the winning entry will be sent to those persons requesting such information providing that such request is put in writing, together with a stamped addressed envelope and is received by Halo within 3 months of the closing date. Prizes 11.There is one main prize available which will be a 5ft French Painted Bed. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered. Halo reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of similar value should the prize granted (or any part of it) become unavailable for reasons beyond its control. The prize must be taken by no later than 31st December 2008 and will be forfeited by the prize winner if not taken by this date. 12. If a winner of the competition is unable to take up a prize for any reason, Halo reserves the right to award it to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner chosen will not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever or any alternative prize. 13. Halo will not mail the prize to an address outside of the United Kingdom and is not responsible for prize delivery outside of the United Kingdom. Data Protection 14. By entering this competition and ticking the box at the bottom of the entry form, entrants agree that Halo may contact them from time to time in the future about new products and services available from Halo and/or any company within the same group as Halo. Entrants who do not wish their contact details to be used in this way should not tick the box. Winner Publicity 15. By entering this competition, the winner agrees to be involved in such post-promotional publicity as Halo (in its sole discretion) requests. Entrants also accept that, if they win, Halo will have the right to use their name, age, town of residence and likeness for the purposes of announcing the winner of the competition and for promotional purposes. Law 16. These terms and conditions (and the competition) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. 17. If any of these terms and conditions should be determined
to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable for any reason, then that
provision shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms
and conditions shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable. |
