FAQ

Does Halo furniture come flat packed?

In general, only beds, wardrobes, tables and bookcases will come part-assembled. All other items are fully assembled when packaged. Some pieces may have feet which need attaching, for example sofas and armchairs

What type of leather is my Halo upholstery made from?

Halo only uses top grade aniline leather for its leather upholstery. There is no pigment or top coat added during our leather production process. This ensures that our leathers are very soft and luxurious to touch unlike the much harder plastic appearance of Pigmented leathers.

How do I care for my leather upholstery?

Leather upholstery in a normal home environment should require little attention and cleaning should only be done when necessary.

We highly recommend our leather is not put in direct exposure to sunlight and heat, as this may cause the colour to fade unevenly over time. Should the product get wet, remove any residual water immediately with a paper towel and allow it to dry naturally.

Is it normal to have marks on my leather?

As leather is a natural product, each hide will have its own inpidual characteristics. Grain pattern, texture and colour will vary from hide to hide and even within the same hide to a certain degree. Markings such as scars, insect bites, wrinkles, veining are natural characteristics of genuine leather. They are not imperfections, but rather an assurance that you have received an authentic, un-corrected, top grain leather.

What should I do if I spill something on my leather upholstery?

If you have a spillage on your leather upholstery, immediately dab off excess liquids and solids, always work from the edge of the stain inward to avoid spreading. Do not use an abrasive cloth or rub excessively. Then contact a specialist leather cleaning company for advice.

What are the cushions filled with?

Our cushions are filled with different materials; including foam, fibre, foam and fibre mix; depending up the model. Each upholstery item will have its cushions filling in the description section of their inpidual product page.

Lacquered furniture (Wentworth, Plum, Montana, Antibes, Sharwin)

Our lacquered finish is extremely durable, which makes furniture easy to look after. To keep it looking its best, simply polish regularly using a clean damp cloth.

What should I do if I spill something on my wooden furniture?

Blot any spills immediately. Do not try to wash or rub spills.

Wood movement

Our furniture will endure most temperature in the home but it is best to avoid placing furniture next to any heat sources, such as radiators, or in direct sunlight. All timber will expand and contract when exposed to changes in temperature and humidity. This is a perfectly natural process and we allow for these movements within our designs.
